ANTONIO BANDERAS CLOSES FILM TRILOGY IN MEXICO

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE Mexico (Reuters) - The Spanish actor Antonio Banderas presented on
Saturday the details of his next film, titled "Erase una vez en México" (Once
upon a time in Mexico), his third adventure in this country.
Banderas who will be accompanied by stars like the American Johnny Depp, the Panamanian
Rubén Blades and the Mexican Salma Hayek, affirmed in a press conference that the new
film will become the best in the realized trilogy under the American director Robert
Rodríguez.....
BANDERAS ONLY WANTS LATIN CHARACTERS
The Spanish actor, husband of the American actress Melanie Griffith, assured that he is
only interested in interpreting characters of Latin American origin and to move away from
the Anglo-Saxon stories.
"I don't want to do anglo characters, I am Latin and I feel much pride in my
roots," assured Banderas who will also use his stay in Mexico to shoot with Salma
Hayek the film "Frida," about the Mexican surrealist painter Frida Kahlo's life.
"Latins are no longer in fashion, we are here to stay. We are many actors and more
and more director and producers," he pointed out.
In the film the well-known director Quentin Tarantino and the actors Willem Dafoe, Mickey
Rourke, Marco Leonardi and Cheech Marín will also participate.
