Mr. Webber,
Years ago I took my 2 young sons to New York to the Phantom. One son was
7 and one was 11. My son's were familiar with the score. The program
began with a stream of excitement and music. About 20 minutes into the
production I turned to explain or discuss a scene in the play, only to
see both of my son's with tears rolling down their cheeks. I need to
explain nothing.
After the show we left the theatre and discussed the play and Michael
Crawford's performance. To this day Mr. Crawford draws back these great
memories because of his great talent and abilities.
Retain the integrity of the production -Michael Crawford is an artist
that will bring this production to it's much deserved success. Your
music is timeless. Please allow the musicians who made the production
timeless to aid this production. Don't bend to Hollywood whims.
