All of the phantoms i have seen no one comes close. he just doesn't sing the part-he becomes the part. he makes it believable. bandaras would be good as raul also. michael no one can make those words become to life like you do. lloyd webers loss.

Comments: i think that the movie version of the phantom of the opera should have micheal crawford as the phantom. there is no other person for the part. and it should also have sarah brightman as christine daae. they are the best people for the part. especially since it is going to be andrew lloyd webbers version of the phantom.

Comments: What?? Michael is NOT going to be the Phantom?? HOW DARE THEY!!!! I must admit, I first found out about the movie while looking at this site, and I was absolutely thrilled! ..That is, until I saw that they decided not to use The REAL Phantom.. *sniff* And I was looking forward to this movie.. I have never seen Michael in performance, I have only heard him on the soundtrack.. and while the performances are still great, there's just simply no substitute for Michael Crawford! His voice gives me chills everytime I listen to him.. He's absolutely perfect for the part! I think we should boycott the movie.. Long live Michael Crawford, the REAL phantom!

I know I've signed the guestbook like 5 times, I just love to tell people how much I wanted Michael Crawford to take the role as the Phantom...I also know the Phantom as Erik because I have read the original book by Gaston Leroux in which the Phantom goes by the name Erik...KUDOS LEROUX! It was an amazing book!

I really am upset at the fact that I probably will never get to see Michael's spellbinding preformance. I have heard highly of it from many people. I just wish that I could have seen it myself. I know that the trailer for the movie is already out and that Erik is portrayed by Gerard Butler. I have seen it 20 times at least! ...I am very disgusted at the fact that Warner Bros. and/or Andrew Lloyd Webber did not choose Michael to be Erik...

I have been watching the video clips posted by this website, and I must say, Michael and Sarah Brightman are a great team! They sent shivers down my spine! Michael has such an amazing voice, I wish I could have seen him perform live. I only saw the Phantom of the Opera once: this past December it was playing. I thought it was amazing to listen to it, but to actually see it in person is even more amazing! I was astounded by the play. Know what the best part was? We were in the second row! I could see that Brad Little (he played the Phantom) put a lot into his work. I just wish that I could have seen Michael. I am very happy that this campaign is doing what it can to help promote Michael. Keep up the great work! GO MICHAEL!

Comments: I haven't actually seen MC on Broadway but I listen and sing The Phantom of the Opera everyday. I have been on the POTO official website. I listened to the other singers. They have the lines down but can't replace Michael. We need Michael for the movie. Michael is the main reason I love the music and he is the only singer that made ALW probably billions. But not just Michael, the whole original London Cast. They will make billions. If at least Michael isn't in it I refuse to see it.

Comments: As we all know, Michael really is the only actor/singer who can do complete justice to the Phantom of the Opera. As it is now too late to do anything about the casting of the film, however, it is my wish that we all show the movie-makers their mistake by boycotting the movie as it is in theaters. This is what I plan on doing, and I hope as many of you as possible will join me in digging into their pockets, and causing them to lose money (which seems to have been the only thing they cared about while turning this masterpiece musical into a showy motion picture).
